June is Pride Month, a cultural celebration to honor and uplift the LGBTQIA+ community, and to acknowledge the important contributions and struggles of its members. Colorful parades, rallies, and festivals mark the month-long celebration throughout New Jersey. The term "LGBTQIA+" stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual. Engage in educational programs and see the incredible wildlife that Bergen County Zoo has to offer. Ranging from Mountain Lions and American Bisons to Spider Monkeys and Scarlet Macaws, there are a ton of animals for you to see and learn about. Experience a special event that combines the excitement of zoo exploration with the spirit of Pride. So don't be hesitant to wear your Pride colors as well!
